When AIA Singapore launched its first Indexed Universal Life (IUL) insurance plan in the region, they faced a unique localisation challenge. As IUL products were novel to Asian markets, no standardised Chinese terminology existed.
AIA needed a partner to accurately translate complex financial concepts while developing a compelling Chinese product name that would resonate with its Chinese audience. The task required both technical precision in translation and strategic nuance in branding to position this innovative product effectively.
Drawing on our specialised experience with insurance products, we created the first Chinese-language framework for AIA’s IUL offerings.
Our team conducted extensive research to establish appropriate translations for industry-specific terms, ensuring clarity without compromising technical accuracy.
The full brochure translation balanced regulatory precision with consumer-friendly language, adapted specifically for Singapore’s multilingual market context.
Our translation and localisation support enabled AIA Singapore to launch its first IUL product with confidence, supported by well-crafted Chinese-language materials. The client was pleased with the quality of our work, and we’ve continued to support them on subsequent Chinese brochure projects.
