The client’s quarterly internal newsletter, My L’Oréal, is designed to keep employees abreast of the company’s latest news and happenings. As a large multinational, L’Oréal holds frequent events and has a great deal of information to share with staff each quarter. The project therefore sees our design team handle a large volume of text and photos. To make sure each newsletter contains the very latest information, content must often be added to or updated at the last minute. Strong attention to detail and slick project management are required to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Our team is responsible for designing both the print and digital versions of My L’Oréal. The digital versions include an eDM with newsletter highlights, an interactive PDF and a flip book. Once the digital products are complete, our designers follow up on the technical functionality to ensure that all links as well as the interactive PDF and flip book are working correctly on the client’s end.
On taking over the newsletter design, the team introduced a more visual approach to information presentation, using icons, infographics and charts. The L’Oréal team like the approach and now give us a good deal of creative freedom when it comes to the layout.
Working with our trusted vendor for press proofing, output and delivery, our designers oversee the print-proof process to ensure that every colour in the printed product will perfectly match the on-screen hues of the layout.
The client appreciates the time and effort saved by our smooth and efficient working processes, all built on excellent communication.
The result is a rich, visually engaging newsletter delivered to staff on time and without a hitch. The mix of print and digital ensures the widest possible readership, and the content not only keeps the L’Oréal team in the know but helps to increase loyalty to the company.
Thanks to a referral, we have since worked on creating event materials for the Asia-Pacific Legal department of L’Oréal.
