For charities, existence is only possible through the support of donations and corporate sponsorship and in a post-Covid world where cost-of-living continues to affect the public and businesses, it’s more important than ever that NGOs like Love 21 have the support and funds to not only continue to provide amazing services to the community but can allow them to expand to reach more people in many different ways.

The Challenge

Love 21 are a fantastic charity in Hong Kong who empower the local Down syndrome and autistic community through sport, nutrition and holistic support programmes. After a few hard years which included literally having to build their support centre from the ground back up again, 2024 was set to be an exciting one with their first ever gala fundraising event. The event was designed to raise much needed funds to allow more families to have access to Love 21’s incredible programmes, to raise awareness of the fantastic work they do and also celebrate those who support the fantastic charity. The event had the theme set – Shoot for the Stars – and The Giles Agency were on board to help bring this to life!

What we did

Love 21 are fortunate to have a very distinctive brand identity which is vibrant and colourful, much like their members! For the gala dinner we wanted to create a design that included this spirit, but that also added an element of sophistication befitting a gala event. We created a key visual which centred on the sky is the limit theme and that could be used across all communications – social media, email, posters, WhatsApp, as well as at the venue as focus points. We also helped design a sales presentation to be used to encourage corporate sponsors to get involved.

The Payoff

The inaugural gala dinner was held at The Hong Kong Football Club on 27th April 2024 and was more than a resounding success with Love 21 raising over HK$3.8M which will be used to go towards supporting well over 100 new families with their holistic family support programmes.
